With West Ham United closing in on the signing of Mohammed Kudus, the London club can now move onto their next target.
One of those could be a centre-back, since the club failed to attract Harry Maguire to the London Stadium, and Perr Schuurs could be that man.
The Dutchman has been linked with a move to West Ham, as well as other clubs in the Premier League, and it has affected him, according to his manager, Ivan Juric, during a press conference relayed by Sky Italia.
Speaking to the media ahead of this weekend’s clash against AC Milan, the Croatian was asked about the state of mind of some of his players, including Schuurs.
The outlet mention West Ham as the club being interested in him, and quote Juric as saying: “These are old things… The players are affected a little. The difference is considerable between one situation and another. He is serious and works well, it is normal that these things disturb him. In any case, he plays.”
They also quote him as saying that “Schuurs is disturbed by market rumours”, and that is everything you need to know about where the player’s head is at amid links with West Ham.
That being said, he will not be cheap, as various reports have suggested that Torino would want around €40m for their star.
