Leicester City are reportedly keeping tabs on Italian youngster Daniele Verde.
According to Calcio Mercato.it, club director Eduardo Macia, who has some experience in Italy after working at Fiorentina, was spotted watching the Serie B match between Ternana and Avelino at the weekend.
The player couldn’t do much as his side Avelino lost 4-1, but the website claims it was still enough opportunity to show his ability.
Daniele Verde is at Avelino on loan from Roma until the end of the season, and the second division club have a buying option after the spell.
It’s unclear how much any of the clubs would demand in case of a actual Leicester approach, but Calcio Mercato claims that an battle could be formed for the player in the next summer transfer window.
Verde can both play as a striker and on the wings. He has seven goals and five assists in Serie B so far this season.
