Last Thursday, Sport1 chief reporter Patrick Berger stated Mohammed Kudus has agreed a deal with West Ham United.

A day later, Foot Mercato reported West Ham technical director Tim Steidten made a trip to the Netherlands to find an agreement with Ajax for the star’s transfer.

Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna took to Twitter to state the Hammers have almost reached a ‘full agreement’ to sign the 23-year-old.

He adds Steidten travelled to Razgrad [Bulgaria] on Thursday to meet the Ajax board to ‘seal the Kudus deal’.

Kudus scored a hat-trick in Ajax’s 4-1 win in the Europa League qualifiers over Ludogorets in Bulgaria yesterday. The Ghana international was interviewed by RTL7, and said the latest clash could be his last outing for the Eredivisie side.

“I think this was my last match for Ajax,” he said, as quoted by De Telegraaf.

Kudus, who can operate across the attacking line and also in midfield, admitted his future will be clarified soon.

“I think it’ll become clearer in the coming days. But I have no control over that. The talks [with West Ham United] will continue and we’ll see if an agreement is reached. That’s not my job. I have to do my job on the pitch,” Kudus explained.

“I live in the present. Is West Ham United a nice club? Yes. How much will I miss Ajax? I will say that if there is an agreement.”

Ajax manager Maurice Steijn also seems to believe the versatile star has already played his last game for the club.
