Sevilla have rejected the latest offer from Aston Villa for Marcos Acuña, with the Spanish side still not keen on the sale.
That’s according to El Chiringuito and journalist Gonzalo Tortosa, who says Sevilla have rejected an offer worth €10m for the full-back.
Villa have pushed to sign the Argentine this week as they continue to rebuild Unai Emery’s squad for this season.
An initial bid, which was deemed extremely low and almost insulting, was rejected by Sevilla but that has not put off Aston Villa and they continue to try and get the player.
The Spanish club had asked that any bid for the player be made before the 20th, hence the push from Villa and Monchi now as they try to comply with those demands.
Acuña, for his part, is open to the move and positive about it but nothing has been closed with him and won’t be until an agreement is reached between the clubs.
There are now ‘ongoing negotiations’ between them to make that happen, with Aston Villa already seeing bids rejected.
