For all those covering Fiorentina’s summer window, there’s a big expectation about the future of Sofyan Amrabat.

The midfielder is heavily linked to an exit from La Viola this summer, with the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool said to be interested in him.

It turns out that an interesting update is brought by journalist Alfredo Pedulla, who today spoke to Passione Fiorentina on Twitch. The quotes are brought by Labora Viola.

“We are at the point that I confirm the strong interest of Manchester United. They only sold Fred, but they didn’t sell Van de Beek and McTominay. And now I expect there to be an acceleration and United’s offer will come. They spent a lot of money on Onana, on Højlund, Maguire hasn’t left yet, they had to make some sales and they haven’t yet. Surely Amrabat belongs to the last fortnight (of the transfer window),” he said.

“Amrabat linked to exits? I don’t know because you’re talking about a club that has two strong midfielders with a valuation of over €50m anyway. But United are an unpredictable club, anything can happen every day. Look what is happening with Saudi Arabia, one comes up every day. What I can tell you is that up to now Amrabat has refused every offer that has arrived: Liverpool, Bayern and Juventus, even if the Bianconeri have never formalised the offer.”

Among the reports about Amrabat’s future, we’ve also seen today claims in the Italian media saying Manchester United are in no hurry to buy the midfielder.

It was claimed the Red Devils are hoping to get a discount with the transfer, and will wait until the end of the window to place their bid since they’re the only team after him.

Fiorentina are said to be demanding €30m for Amrabat, but Manchester United clearly aren’t willing to pay that much for the move.

Now in case the player actually rejected Liverpool and the Red Devils don’t get the transfer done in time, then he may end up regretting that decision.
