Nottingham Forest are among the clubs chasing Bologna’s Jerdy Schouten, according to Eindhovens Dagblad journalist Rik Elfrink.

He mentions the Tricky Trees when explaining PSV Eindhoven’s interest in the 26-year-old.

Elfrink claims the midfielder desired by the Dutch club ‘can go to’ to other teams including Nottingham Forest and AC Milan.

The journalist further explains that Steve Cooper’s side, the Rossoneri and a few other clubs would like to ‘recruit’ the player.

PSV have an advantage in the transfer race because the Netherlands international has set his sights on joining them. Elfrink adds the Serie A side have to ‘bend their knees’ to carry out the transfer.

This would suggest PSV aren’t willing to meet the current demands set by the Italian club. If Nottingham Forest can find a way to get ahead of PSV and convince the Dutchman, they would have the chance to sign him.

Meanwhile, Bologna manager Thiago Motta has admitted Schouten is not pleased with his current situation at the club.

When asked if he thinks of selling Schouten and Nicolás Domínguez, Motta said, relayed by TuttoMercatoWeb“I think they are two important players, it’s there for all to see, but I don’t want unhappy players, I want players who give their all for the team.

“These decisions have little to do with me, they have more to do with management, but not just here, everywhere.”
