Moussa Dembele may well have scored 24 goals already for Celtic so far this season, but his chances of a firm breakthrough into the France squad are very low according to L’Equipe.
Starring at Celtic, Dembele finds himself up against players such as Antoine Griezmann, Dimitri Payet and Olivier Giroud. L’Equipe explain that Kylian Mbappe, football’s latest big thing, has a 65% chance of making it, and Anthony Martial, football’s last big thing, has a 50/50 shot.
Therefore it perhaps makes it more understandable the French newspaper have put Dembele’s chances at just 5%. At just 20 years of age it’s not a huge setback for the Celtic player, and it’s merely L’Equipe’s opinion based on their own information, but it looks like Dembele won’t be travelling to Russia next summer.
