Earlier today, we covered reports from Brazil saying Santos are waiting for Deivid Washington to choose between Chelsea and AS Monaco.
With both clubs placing similar bids for the youngster, his club had put his fate in his own hands, and he’d now meet agent Giuliano Bertolucci to analyse both projects.
As his future is a hot topic in the local media, we now get to see one more interesting update, this time from journalist Bruno Andrade.
According to his report, Deivid Washington needs to answer today whether he’s moving to Chelsea or Monaco.
The player is said to be currently more attracted to the English offer, although the French still try to make him change his mind.
Andrade says Chelsea offer Santos €15m plus €5m in bonuses. Monaco’s bid, meanwhile, is €16m plus €4m.
What could be crucial for the Blues is to show the intentions they have for him. They’ve just bought his teammate Angelo and, despite using him in pre-season, loaned him out to Strasbourg. So if Deivid Washington doesn’t feel like he’ll be used by Chelsea in the near future, he may choose the French destination.
