On Monday, several claims from the English press stated Burnley are in advanced talks with Sheffield United over a deal for Sander Berge.
This is relayed by TV2 in Norway, who then explain the latest on the deal to take the 25-year-old to Turf Moor. The midfielder didn’t train with the Bees today because he’s getting closer to joining the Clarets.
It’s said Burnley have ‘reached an agreement’ with Sheffield United but there’s no mention of the fee Paul Heckingbottom’s side will collect from this transfer.
Berge’s contract expires in 2024 and Sheffield United are ready to part ways with him. In fact, TV2 say they informed his teammates about his potential move to Burnley on Monday.
Vincent Kompany’s side have made progress by agreeing a deal with Sheffield United. The report adds only ‘some details’ of the transfer need to be sorted out before Berge’s move to Burnley is made official.
