On Sunday, a claim from the UK stated Saudi Arabia are now looking to recruit Liverpool star Mohamed Salah for their league.
This is backed up Arriyadiyah, who state Al-Ittihad are keen on bringing the 31-year-old to the Middle East.
It’s claimed the Saudi Arabian club have entered into ‘serious negotiations’ to acquire the Liverpool winger’s services.
The negotiations between the two parties are said to have been confirmed by a source close to the player, who also added that the ‘offer has to be tempting’ for the Egypt international to leave Jürgen Klopp’s side.
It’s said Al-Ittihad are proposing a two-year deal worth €180m to Salah and a fee around £60m [€69.5m] to Liverpool. The report makes no mention whether the deal is considered tempting enough for the forward.
A move to Al-Ittihad would see Salah reunite with Fabinho, who joined them last month. The Reds have also sold Jordan Henderson to Al-Ettifaq earlier in this window.
Salah, who managed 31 goals and 16 assists from 51 games last season, remains to be a vital player for Klopp’s side.
The player’s agent, Ramy Abbas, has now taken to social media to insist that if Salah had been looking to leave Liverpool this summer he wouldn’t have renewed his contract.
