Manchester City haven’t had an exciting summer window, compared to some of the club’s business in previous years.
For months they appear to have been chasing RB Leipzig’s Josko Gvardiol. Pep Guardiola has been keen to add the defender, but the Bundesliga club have been strong with their demands.
That’s seen things drag on for longer than likely anyone would have wanted at the start. Now, thankfully, Bild say an agreement has been found, ‘the transfer is perfect’, and the player can move to the Premier League winners.
The transfer is expected to be made official in the next few days, with formalities to be sorted out between the two clubs.
Gvardiol is today missing RB Leipzig’s double header friendlies against St. Truiden and Altglienicke.
As well as the €90m, there’s an agreement for a friendly match between the two sides, which is expected to bring Leipzig a further €1.5m.
