With Manchester United engaging more seriously in their pursuit for Atalanta striker Rasmus Højlund, it’s very clear the player is completely on board with the operation.
An update today from Calciomercato today says the striker already ‘given his yes’ to the Red Devils, and even spoke ‘once again’ to his club’s CEO Luca Percassi about his desire to make the move and for them to allow it to happen.
The Serie A side are not blocking Højlund’s exit, but do make big demands for his sale, requesting €70m with no ‘counterparts’ from the Red Devils.
This last detail is very important, because when ‘probing the ground’ in the last few weeks, Manchester United asked about the inclusion of some players in the deal.
Now even though the Red Devils’ offer is still to arrive, Calciomercato writes that there’s a feeling Højlund’s transfer to the Premier League club is ‘a deal destined to close soon’.
There are no details of how much Manchester United will put on the table, just apparent confidence that they’ll be able to satisfy Atalanta in the long run.
