That’s according to today’s Corriere dello Sport, who point out Rudi Garcia’s side have seen their €35m bid for the player get rejected by the Premier League club.
In response to this offer, Wolves have offered to extend the 26-year-old’s deal from 2026 to 2027. This hasn’t put off the Naples club and they will not ‘retreat’ in their pursuit of the Wolves star.
Last week, the same newspaper reported Wolves value the player at €40m and don’t have the need to raise funds after selling both Rúben Neves and Nathan Collins.
