Sevilla are ‘waiting for an offer’ from Newcastle United for striker Youssef En-Nesyri after recent contacts over a potential transfer.
That’s according to Marca, who say the striker has made his demands and wishes if he is to leave ‘very clear’ to all involved.
The newspaper explains that Sevilla need to make gains in their books via exits if they can and the two players likely to bring the most in are the Moroccans Bono and En Nesyri.
Both players have only received passing interest at this moment in time, surveys to question their availability and ask what their current status is. There have not been ‘concrete offers’ as yet.
Newcastle and Roma have En-Nesyri ‘on their agendas’ and have been in touch about a possible move without any solid, tangible bids as yet.
In other words, he would only leave the Sánchez-Pizjuán to make a ‘real sporting leap’ and join a Champions League team where he feels he can integrate well and feel at home.
The question is whether Newcastle fall into that category. They are a top four Premier League team with Champions League football, so there is some argument that they are but the player is happy in Seville as he enjoys living there and so he has no intention of leaving if he does not have to.
The first step will be Newcastle making an official bid to kick off the transfer process after the Magpies recently called about the striker without going any further than that.
