West Ham United are today linked to Torino centre-back Perr Schuurs.
A report from Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claims the Hammers are currenlty ‘interested ‘in signing the defender this summer, as he’d in the list of potential reinforcements for David Moyes’ defensive sector.
According to the report, West Ham haven’t moved for the signing yet. It’s said they ‘could open contacts’ for the transfer in the coming days, and that’s when they would understand the conditions to bring the player to London.
Di Marzio’s report also wonders whether Schuurs would be on board with that operation, so there’s still no guarantee the 23-year-old would accept a move to the Hammers.
It turns out that West Ham aren’t the only club trying to bring Schuurs to the Premier League, because on Thursday morning, Turin newspaper Tuttosport had a story about Crystal Palace’s interest in the player.
In that story, it was claimed that Torino have been clear that they want at least €40m to accept the sale.
It’s unknown if the Eagles will be offering that, and the Hammers better be prepared for that request.
