AC Milan have made a new move to sign Christian Pulisic from Chelsea, according to reports from the Italian media.
Outlet TuttoMercatoWeb claims that following an initial €15m bid from the Rossoneri, they have now raised their offer to €20m after placing the bid this morning.
This new attempt was made this morning, and there seems to be no response from Chelsea just yet.
It’s just claimed that there is ‘confidence’ from Milan that there’ll be white smoke ‘in a short time’.
Milan may be optimistic about the deal, but they’re still to reach the amount requested by Chelsea, which is said to be of €25m.
TuttoMercatoWeb points out that Lyon were willing to pay that much for Pulisic, but the player himself turned down the chance to join the French side.
The report claims Chelsea would have a big benefit from Pulisic’s sale, and that’s them getting rid of his wages, as the club pay him €15m gross every year.
Now with Milan making strong moves to get the deal done as soon as possible, we shall wait for the Blues’ response to this latest offer.
