Despite Tottenham announcing the signing of Guglielmo Vicario, Hugo Lloris has still not left the club, and with Spurs players returning to training on Saturday, the Frenchman is expected to be there.
That’s according to Le Parisien, who report that amid interest from Inter Milan in his services, the veteran will remain as professional as ever and will work with Ange Postecoglou this weekend.
Lloris has previously made it clear that his time has come to an end at Tottenham, as he wants to look elsewhere in his career, but nothing has been sorted yet.
Inter, who are likely to sell André Onana to the highest bidder, will have to replace the Cameroon international, which is where the Spurs player comes in.
They want a player who has a ‘high level’ and is ‘financially attainable’, with the Tottenham man ticking all those boxes.
As for what happens next, Lloris will make a decision based on the ‘wellbeing of his family’ and the ‘living environment’, meaning the financial aspect isn’t at the top of his list.
In fact, it is ‘very likely’ that Tottenham ‘will release him’ of his contract for ‘services rendered’, meaning he will be free to choose his next destination without his current club interfering.
With interest from Inter and Saudi Arabia, someone close to the affair told Le Parisien: “All of these leads are relevant. The transfer window is still long.”
