Tottenham are demanding €100m from Bayern Munich if they are to sell Harry Kane to them this summer.
That’s according to BILD who say Spurs have no intention of letting their star man depart on the cheap despite his contract situation.
Kane is in the final year of his contract at Tottenham and is yet to agree to a new extension, meaning there has been increased speculation about his future this summer.
Spurs need to sell if they are to avoid losing the player on a free transfer next year and Bayern Munich have been linked with a move as they continue to search for Roberto Lewandowski’s long-term replacement.
BILD now back that up but say the bid has been rejected outright by Tottenham, who ‘want at least €100m’ if they are to sell Kane this summer.
That’s a problem for Bayern, who are ‘hoping’ that the striker can be secured for an overall fee below that amount.
They accept that the Tottenham icon would solve the big centre forward problem at the Allianz Arena, and the club’s sports committee decided on Monday to ‘fully approach’ him about a move.
At the moment, though, the price that Spurs want is far from what Bayern seem willing to pay, which means there is likely extensive negotiations on the way before a deal comes close.
