The German media have returned with more claims about Robin Koch’s future. Following Leeds United’s relegation from the Premier League, there’s a group of players with clauses allowing them to leave Elland Road on loan.
Generally, that seems to be on the basis of a free loan as long as the destination club covers all the wages. Given Koch’s contract with the Whites expires in 2024, he’s essentially available as a free agent.
Interest has been pushed in Germany and it’s clear it’s been coming from the defender’s camp. Manchester United and Newcastle United have been linked, and such high level interest just doesn’t match with Koch’s performances.
Negotiations over the move have been ‘in full swing for a good ten days’, and there’s a suggestion there could be clarity on Koch’s future in the middle of this week.
The Leeds United man is said to be a ‘dream player’ for Eintracht Frankfurt, and it looks like they may get their wish.
