Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch has admitted he is aware of Liverpool’s interest in him, as he looks to clarify his situation at Bayern Munich next year.
The midfielder has been sepaking to De Telegraaf ahead of what could be a busy summer for him.
The Dutchman joined the German giants last summer from Ajax in a big-money move after impressing with the Eredivisie giants in recent years.
The belief had been that he would be able to make an impact at the Allianz Arena but he’s instead spent most of the season sat on the bench failing to impress either Julian Nagelsmann or Thomas Tuchel enough to hand him a regular starting role.
That’s led to speculation that he could be on the move this summer and Liverpool have been named as his main suitors as they look to overhaul their midfield.
At the moment Bayern seem reluctant to sell the midfielder and he insists he’s happy to stay, so long as he can play regularly next season.
“I’ve read that too,” he told De Telegraaf in relation to the Liverpool rumours.
“It could be that there are plans with me. I haven’t really spoken to the coach about that yet, that will come after the EC when I’m back from Georgia and Romania. Then we will see how things are.
“I just want to play more, preferably at Bayern Munich. And otherwise at a club where I play 100%. That’s where my preference lies.
“Because I don’t want to have another year like the one I’ve had now. One such season is good; I really learned a lot. But I just want to play football.”
