Aston Villa may need to move quickly if they wish to sign Valencia’s Kang-in Lee as Paris Saint Germain have made a €22m offer for the player.
That’s according to Marca, who say the Parisians are negotiating the ‘last details’ with the Spanish side to sign the South Korean.
We covered a report yesterday that stated Aston Villa were ‘very well placed’ to complete the signing of Lee as their major rivals for him, Atletico Madrid, had pulled out of the race.
However, it seems they now have to move quickly as PSG have emerged out of nowhere to position themselves to get the player.
Marca report that the French side, more specifically Luis Campos their transfer advisor, have been talking to Real Mallorca for weeks to sign the midfielder.
They are working with Pablo Ortells on a deal worth around €22m, an amount that is close to his termination clause, which is €25m.
PSG have assured Kang-in Lee that he will have a place in their first team and the opportunity to play in Europe, something that tempts him into the move. He is now waiting for an agreement to be reached.
That means there is still a slim chance for Aston Villa to move, although their now once comfortable position to get Kang-in Lee seems to have become anything but.
