Germany’s Bild are reporting Robin Koch can leave Leeds United as a free agent this summer, thanks to a release clause in his contract.
According to the German claims, the defender’s camp negotiated a clause which means he won’t be kept to the final year of his contract and have to appear in the Championship.
The 26-year-old cost Leeds United €13m in 2020 when they signed him from SC Freiburg. Koch enjoyed a mixed time with the Whites, and whilst it was always likely he’d be leaving this summer it’s still a blow if he does so as a free agent.
Bild hype up interest in Koch, and the German newspaper say clubs in England, Italy and Germany are keen on a deal. They’ll obviously be all the more interested if they’re informed of the clause which Bild insist exists.
