Everton and Wolverhampton Wanderers will need €40m to sign El Bilal Touré from Spanish side Almería this summer.
That’s according to local newspaper Diario de Almería, who say that ‘the first approaches are already taking place’ over a potential deal.
Several reports have linked El Bilal Touré with a move to England this summer after he managed seven goals and two assists in 21 games in LaLiga this season.
Those are good numbers for a 21-year-old and both Everton and Wolves have been credited with an interest in recent months.
A report at the end of April stated that both clubs were on the hunt for the forward and that was followed by a claim in May that Wolves were ready to pay to get a deal over the line quickly.
They are equally aware that his €40m release clause is ‘affordable’ for teams in the Premier League, who are all seen as having money to spare.
The ‘first approaches’ to the club’s sporting management have already taken place and managing director Mohamed El Assy ‘has never been reluctant’ to enter into talks if the sale is ‘considered productive’.
The newspaper’s belief is that the first club to put €40m on the table and secure the approval of the player’s agent in the process will end up signing El Bilal Touré this summer.
Whether Everton or Wolves are willing, or indeed capable of doing so given the Financial Fair Play issues at both clubs, remains to be seen.
