Dutch side Heerenveen are ‘waiting for the green light’ from Chelsea to complete a loan deal for youngster Charlie Webster.
That’s according to Leeuwarder Courant, who say personal terms have already been reached with Webster over a move to the Netherlands.
Heerenveen have been linked with a move for Webster since the beginning of this month, with it explained that they were eyeing him as a replacement for departing star Thom Haye.
A report at the beginning of the month explained that it was likely he was a target thanks to Kenneth Zandvlie, who is the new chief scout for the Dutch club, who was previously a youth scout at Chelsea so should know the player well.
Leeuwarder Courant back that up, explaining that they have already reached a ‘personal agreement’ with the player about a move.
According to them they are not ‘waiting for the green light’ from Chelsea to complete the move, which will be a season-long loan deal for the 19-year-old.
The deal being confirmed appears to just be a matter of time, with only the approval from the Blues required before it goes through.
