Apart from Kim Min-jae, Manchester United have been linked with another centre-back quite strongly, and that’s Benjamin Pavard.
The player, who can feature both in the heart of the defence or as a right-back, has been looking for a new challenge after years at Bayern Munich, which the Red Devils could offer him.
That’s what Florian Plettenberg is reporting on Wednesday, as he took to Twitter to reveal the latest in the Frenchman’s future.
The Sky Germany journalist claims that Savard ‘will be allowed to leave immediately’ by the Bavarian side as long as they get the right amount of money.
That’s believed to be a transfer fee of around €30-40m, with many clubs, including Manchester United, lining up for his services.
Either way, Manchester United now have a door open for some talks, with Bayern Munich more than happy to sit down and negotiate a deal if it matches their demands.
Update #Pavard: As reported and now confirmed: He will be allowed to leave Bayern immediately. Bayern demands a transfer fee of €30-40m.
