Before Kalidou Koulibaly moved to Chelsea, there’d been reports for years that Manchester United were interested.
There were even claims of an offer in the region of €100m, which will have come in the summer the Red Devils bought Harry Maguire.
Napoli were always against a sale and that went on so long that when they finally did part ways with him it was for far less than they’d originally wanted.
The defender hasn’t been a great success since his move to Chelsea and there’s already been claims he could be quickly moved on.
The player’s move to Old Trafford is seen as certain, and Koulibaly returning on loan could be a solution for Napoli.
Chelsea would have to continue paying a percentage of his wages to make the move possible. What the Blues, and Koulibaly himself, would make of that isn’t clear.
