Manchester United have ‘contacted’ young midfielder’s entourage – Ten Hag ‘in love’ with his style of play

Manchester United are today mentioned in the race for Arthur Vermeeren midfielder Arthur Vermeeren.

The news actually come from the Spanish media, where Catalan outlet Sport features a story about Barcelona’s interest in the 18-year-old.

The Camp Nou side are after a replacement for Sergio Busquets in midfield, and reportedly see the Belgian player as a target for the summer window.

Barcelona shouldn’t have an easy task to land him, though, as Manchester United seem to be strong contenders for the signing.

It’s said the Red Devils have already ‘contacted’ Vermeeren’s entourage, since Erik ten Hag is ‘in love’ with his style of play.

Even though Sport talks about Barcelona’s interest and says the club already have information on the player, they do not say whether the La Liga side are in touch for the signing already.

According to the report, Vermeeren’s transfer this summer should cost about €8m. It’s said Barça will be ‘attentive’ to him, and that could be a sign that Manchester United can easily take the lead to get a deal done.
