Former West Ham United striker David Di Michele has backed the Hammers and Fiorentina to serve up a Conference League final to remember when they meet next months.
The former striker has been speaking to Radio Bruno, relayed by Labaro Viola, about the upcoming meeting between the two sides in the European final.
West Ham booked their pace in the showpiece with a win over AZ Alkmaar earlier this week, a 1-0 victory ensuring a 3-1 overall on aggregate and progression to the final.
Fiorentina progressed in more comfortable fashion, with a 3-1 win over Basel away from home ensuring a 4-3 victory on aggregate for the Italian side.
Di Michele, who played for both clubs during his playing career, is certainly expecting an entertaining affair, highlighting the differences between the two sides.
“At West Ham there is a very different mentality to the Italian one,” he said.
“I played there, Zola was coaching, and he helped me a lot, with me there was also Behrami. This year they spent £180m, they didn’t perform in the league as everyone expected.
“They saved themselves with two days in advance but in the team, there are strong players like Ogbonna, Scamacca and Paquetà.
“The one with Fiorentina will be a great final because Fiorentina is a team, they are two teams that love to play football, surely it could be a final that brings its own advantages.”
