Chelsea are offering Christian Pulisic and Kalidou Koulibaly as part of transfer bids as they look to get ‘certain transactions’ over the line.
That’s according to journalist Ignazio Genuardi, who says the Blues tried to insert both players into a deal for Napoli centre-back Kim Min-jae.
Reports this week have indicated that Chelsea are one of the sides interested in a deal for the South Korean, who has been one of the stars of Napoli’s success in Serie A and Europe this season.
Indeed, a report from Il Mattino earlier today made it clear they were ‘ready to offer’ for the player and competing with Manchester United for his signature.
Genuardi backs that up, reporting that the Blues are ‘active’ on the transfer market, despite their spending in the last two windows and potential issues with Financial Fair Play.
They are trying to ‘facilitate certain transactions’ and to do so have offered Koulibaly and Pulisic as part of any deals to try and get them over the line.
This is something that they did in their effort for Kim Min-jae, but Manchester United ‘took the lead’ on that deal and appear to now be leading the race for his signature.
Still, it appears Chelsea’s efforts to reduce their squad and move players on from Stamford Bridge are well underway and their strategy is to include those players they don’t want in deals for their transfer targets.
#Mercato
