Tottenham have been warned that they will need to get their house in order if they wish to lure Feyenoord manager Arne Slot to the club this summer.
That’s according to Dutch journalist Sjoerd Mossou, who has warned Spurs that the Feyenoord manager will not jump ship into ‘total chaos’.
Slot has been earning rave reviews for his work with Feyenoord this season, leading them to the top of the Eredivisie title with an attractive brand of football.
That’s earned him plenty of attention from around Europe, with Leeds trying to secure his signature earlier this year when they were looking for Jesse Marsch’s replacement.
He rejected that opportunity to stay in the Netherlands but that hasn’t ended the interest in him, with Tottenham reportedly adding him to their list of candidates to replace Antonio Conte in the summer.
Mossou has warned, though, that Slot won’t simply be attracted by the bright lights of the Premier League and will have his own conditions before he is interested.
“I think he will stay. Then there will also be money, because they are going into the CL,” he said.
“But I mainly think he will stay for private reasons. That he thinks: ‘My children go to school here, I can stay where I live, I have a good life at Feyenoord. I’ll stay another year’.
“But he is not crazy. He’s not going to jump into total chaos, like at Chelsea. Slot does want to have a few conditions where he can work normally, otherwise you’re fired after two months.
“I think that’s his main thing. Everyone wants to work in the Premier League, how many chances do you get?”
