Manchester United’s Erik ten Hag is keen on a move for Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Alexis Mac Allister this summer after being ‘amazed’ by him in their recent FA Cup clash.
That’s according to the Argentinian edition of AS, who say the World Cup winner is set to be ‘one of the biggest names’ of the summer transfer window.
They explain that his great season with Brighton has ‘attracted the attention’ of some of the biggest clubs in Europe and Manchester United are one of those who are keen.
As has happened with other players at the club he has an agreement to leave this summer if his club receive an economic offer that satisfies their aspirations, with those in charge looking for an among ‘close to €70m.’
A departure is almost a reality, and it just remains to be seen where he ends up, with Manchester United one of his possible destinations.
Erik Ten Hag is a big fan of the Brighton star and was ‘amazed’ by his performance when his side met in the FA Cup and sees him as a potential partner to Casemiro in a double pivot in United’s midfield.
He likes Mac Allister’s versatility, as he can play in midfield or on the wing, and thus has put him ‘almost at the top of the list’ of targets for the summer as he plans for a partial clear-out of the squad.
