Crystal Palace remain one of the ‘hottest leads’ for Austrian manager Adi Hütter, despite insistence from England that he is not in the mix.
That’s according to Laola1, who say it is an ‘open secret’ that the coach is ‘desperate’ to take over a side in the Premier League in the future.
That goal is seen as one which is not ‘entirely unrealistic’ as he has been linked with a move in the past and there could be options this summer too.
Crystal Palace are one of the ‘hottest leads’, with a report from Kurier a few weeks ago stating that he had already signed a deal and would be moving to Selhurst Park when Roy Hodgson steps down at the end of the season.
That report was followed by ‘hails of denials’, with Crystal Palace owner Steve Parish even speaking out and vehemently denying that there was an agreement. He even stated that he had never spoken to Adi Hütter about the role.
However, the reality is that they will still be without a coach in the summer, with Hodgson’s contract expiring at that point and it unclear if he wants to remain, despite a brilliant return to the club.
If he decides he wants to return to retirement, then Palace will have to look around for a coach again and Laola1 state that just because they have not had any contact with Hütter yet, ‘doesn’t mean it will stay that way’.
They firmly believe that Hütter will be on the list of candidates for the position this summer, but only if Hodgson decides to move on once again.
