Fernabahce’s pursuit of Tottenham Hotspur attacker Lucas Moura is a story which is gaining strength in the Turkish media.
Today, it’s Takvim who talks about that chase, claiming there are already some moves being made to bring the 30-year-old to Istanbul.
The outlet writes that Fenerbahce’s management had already tried to sign Moura from Tottenham at the start of the season, but now, with the chance of landing him for free, they have reportedly ‘once again started contacts’.
The good news for the Turkish side is that the Brazilian is said to be reportedly ‘warm’ to the idea of joining them this summer.
Moura’s contract with Tottenham expires at the end of the season, and it’s no secret he will walk away from Spurs for free after five years there.
This season, he has only been used by the club in 16 matches, but currently has no goals or assists to contribute to their campaign.
The Turkish media had already been speaking of Fenerbahce’s chase for him, with Fanatik writing this week that the club were ‘ready to mobilise all their resources’ to get the signing done.
Now it seems the moves are already taking place.
