Nice midfielder Aaron Ramsey has admitted he misses Arsenal as he continues to bounce back at the French club.
The Welsh midfielder has been speaking to L’Equipe about his career so far and bouncing back this season after a spell at Juventus.
He had been with the Italian side since 2019 but found his time in Serie A to be a frustrating one, with a series of injury issues limiting him to 70 games and just six goals and six assists in them.
He was unable to replicate what he had achieved at Arsenal, where he spent 11 years of his career, after a move from Cardiff in 2008, and made 369 appearances in total, scoring 64 and assisting 66.
It means his association with the club is a strong one, to say the least, and he is willing to admit he misses life in North London.
“It’s a very tough league (Ligue 1), very athletic, and many teams want to qualify for the Champions League,” he said.
“It goes from goal to goal whereas Serie A is more tactical, more defensive with low blocks. In Italy, the difference between the top and the bottom of the table is greater.
“After that, the Premier League is another world, it’s a different game and I won’t lie, I miss it. I had great seasons at Arsenal but I’m happy here.”
