With Julian Nagelsmann now considered a top candidate to replace Graham Potter at Chelsea, Sky Sport Deutschland now features an interesting update on this chase.
The outlet brings a piece claiming the former Bayern Munich boss is now the ‘favourite’ to take charge of the Blues, and shows three perspectives of what that deal could represent.
There are a few interesting points highlighted by the German outlet, and one of them is obviously Nagelsmann’s take on all this.
It’s said the Chelsea job is currently ‘an option’ for the coach, especially because he could find an ‘old acquaintance’ at Stamford Bridge, which is technical director Christopher Vivell, who worked alongside him at Hoffenheim and RB Leipzig.
That’s said to be ‘not the only positive aspect’ of that move, because there’s big trust in the Blues’ squad, with Sky claiming there’s ‘no denying’ they can do a lot more than what they’ve shown under Potter.
On the negative side, Sky talks about Nagelsmann’s inability to work with ‘superstars’, pointing out the disagreements with Robert Lewandowski, Manuel Neuer, Thomas Müller, Sadio Mane and João Cancelo.
Still, they wonder if he has now ‘learned from his mistakes’, and could be the ideal man to take over at Chelsea.
