Manchester City loanee Nahuel Ferraresi should return to the club this summer, according to reports from Brazil.
The defender had been having a spell at São Paulo, who are highly satisfied with his time at the club and really keen on extending the loan.
But according to Gazeta Esportiva, Manchester City are making a big request for him to stay in Brazil. They only want a deal if for a permanent move, and that would cost €7m.
São Paulo are highly unlikely to afford all that money, and the 24-year-old is now expected to head back to the Premier League side in July.
Ferraresi recently had a knee injury which is sidelining him for months. That was one of the arguments that the Brazilian club were expected to use in the talks to extend his loan.
But it seems Manchester City are not interested in keeping on loaning the defender. He was signed by the Cityzens back in 2017, and with no chances of playing for them so far, it’s probably time to find a permanent destination for him.
