Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson has missed out on Wednesday’s training session with the Brazilian national team.

According to UOL, the 29-year-old had a ‘stomach problem’ and didn’t go to the field with his teammates.

The report claims that the Manchester City player will be monitored by Brazil’s medical staff, but there’s hope he won’t be absent from the upcoming game.

The South American side chose to play only one friendly in this international break, and will be facing Morocco on Saturday.

This game may not be worth anything big, but it actually represents a good chance for Ederson to establish himself at the national team.

Following the World Cup, manager Tite quit the job, and, for now, is being replaced by caretaker Ramon Menezes.

In the new coach’s first call-up, he left Alisson out of the list. The goalkeeper had been Brazil’s number one at the World Cup, and that means that starting spot is now vacant.

So regardless of having a new manager in the future, the Manchester City goalkeeper now has a chance to prove himself and maybe take over that place.
