Stuttgart general manager Jan Schindelmeiser has admitted to the German media players like Alexandru Maxim are currently finding it difficult. The Romania international has been struggling to get games this season, and subsequently has been linked with a move to Leeds United in recent weeks.
Speaking to Stuttgarter Nachrichten, Schindelmeiser was asked about Stuttgartās strengthen in depth, and how this has affected the likes of Maxim.
The German said the players who are currently being left out of Hannes Wolfās match day squads do have quality, so this demonstrates the clubās position. However, Schindelmeiser realises for some of these players they arenāt happy about being left out by Wolf, and are struggling to deal with the situation.
“The guys are all outstanding. Although some of them are finding it very difficult at the moment,” said the Stuttgart manager.
Last month Leeds United held initial talks with his agent to sign Maxim. These talks with Leeds United were confirmed by the playerās agent, but at the time he said he only expected his client to move in the summer. Leeds United boss Garry Monk had previously tried to sign the payer when he was the Swansea City manager.
Stuttgart boss Wolf has also given Leeds United encouragement by confirming the German side would listen to offers for Maxim because he has several players who can play in his position.
