Hugo Lloris’ mixed performances this season has seen Tottenham Hotspur look for a new goalkeeper in the summer.
The Frenchman suffered a knee injury in February and Fraser Forster has filled in for him since then. Reports of Spurs looking for a new stopper surfaced even before Lloris was sidelined.
Calciomercato now state Juventus’ Wojciech Szczęsny has emerged as an option for Tottenham.
The Poland international’s contract expires in 2024 and the Turin club find it impossible to offer him an extension with the current salary of €6.5m per year.
In recent months, Antonio Conte’s side have ‘expressed their interest’ in Szczęsny. Juve are ready to make it easy for Spurs as they could ‘settle for a small amount’ of ‘certainly less than €10m’ to let go of the player in the summer.
If Szczęsny leaves, Juventus plan to promote Mattia Perin as the first-choice goalkeeper next season.
