West Ham United’s Gianluca Scamacca has been linked with a move back to Serie A in the summer, just a year after he joined them from Sassuolo.
These reports started to surface this week, after the agency that managed him confirmed they have unilaterally terminated the contract with the forward.
We’ve seen claims stating the 24-year-old will evaluate his West Ham future after this season.
Two days ago, Pianeta Milan reported the Hammers want €50m to sanction his sale and AC Milan are in the picture to sign him. Their interest in Scamacca is further discussed by La Repubblica, relayed by Sportitalia.
Scamacca, who has scored seven goals in all competitions this season, has scored only once post October. Having struggled in recent times, the report states a return to Serie A is not ruled out.
Milan’s idea would be to sign the player on loan with a redemption option set at €20m. West Ham are unlikely to accept that, considering they aim to collect €50m for Scamacca.
