Everton are facing competition from Napoli and Inter Milan for defender Rodrigo Becao, who remains a target for the Blues after their previous interest.
That’s according to Mondo Udinese, who cover the increasing interest in the Brazilian today as he gears for a departure in the summer transfer window.
Becao has long been linked with a move to Everton, having been named as a target across the summer transfer window and then again in the January transfer window.
A move never happened but Mondo Udinese explain that Becao ‘will not have a very long future’ as his contract expires in 2024 and this summer is the last one for the Italian club to make money on him.
Mondo Udinese follow that up and state that alongside the Toffees, Napoli and Inter are also eyeing him up.
Inter were the first to ‘put him under observation’ and are currently desperately looking for a defender who knows Serie A as they are set to lose Milan Skriniar.
Napoli are also watching him and believe he would be a ‘ready and suitable’ addition to their squad as they look to build on their current upturn and plan for the future. They could also lose Kim Min-jae in the summer and he’d be a good replacement for him.
Neither side have made a move yet and are unlikely to do so any time soon but the interest there and Everton may have work on their hands to convince him if it comes down to a direct struggle.
