Earlier this week, we covered an article from Corriere dello Sport about how Inter Milan’s Andrea Pinamonti could be slipping through Tottenham’s and Mauricio Pochettino’s fingers.

The Italian newspaper reported that a meeting had been set up between the club and the youngster’s agent in order to secure his future at San Siro for the foreseeable future following interest from the Premier League, including Spurs.

With two first-team appearances already to his name at the tender age of 17, and scoring 15 goals in 15 appearances for the club’s reserves, it’s no wonder Mauricio Pochettino would be keen to bring him to White Hart Lane.

However, it appears Pinamonti has very little interest in leaving his beloved Inter in the near future, as reported by Calciomercato on Thursday, who quote the youngster.

He said: “I touch the Inter badge on my shirt before entering the field for good luck, but also to demonstrate the affection I have for Inter. I am very grateful towards Inter. Many clubs are after me? I don’t care.”

Claims from January stated Spurs had made contract with the player’s agent, however, it now seems, with Stefano Pioli showing faith in his youth, that any chance of signing Pinamonti has gone.

At least, for the time being.
