While he was never going to move in January, Randal Kolo Muani could be sold by Eintracht Frankfurt if they receive an offer of €100m for him.
That’s what Sky Germany are reporting, as the Frenchman continues his good form in the Bundesliga, where he has been followed for quite some time by Tottenham.
Quite a few articles have been written about it, with the latest stemming from France in early January, where it was said Spurs were among the clubs who had knocked on the door for the forward before the World Cup.
RMC Sport, who reported it, explained that he was already being valued at €60m prior to the tournament, and his price could soar following his performances in Qatar.
He helped France get back into the final with his tenacity after replacing Olivier Giroud, and even had a chance to win the trophy very late on, only for his shot to be stopped by Emiliano Martínez.
This is a sum Tottenham would likely only be able to put forward if Harry Kane were to depart in the summer, with Bayern Munich remaining attentive to his situation despite him becoming the club’s all-time leading goalscorer, overtaking Sir Jimmy Greaves with his goal against Manchester City.
Sky Germany state that Frankfurt ‘would definitely listen to offers for Kolo Muani next summer’, but their ‘pain threshold’ is €100m.
It might seem like a lot, but it’s worth pointing out that he has played a part in 25 goals in 27 appearances this season (12 goals and 13 assists), and the Bundesliga side are protected by a contract that runs until 2027, since he only signed in the summer.
Whether Tottenham would ever be willing to meet that sum, only time will tell, but Sky Germany believe that ‘if the 24-year-old continues to develop at this pace, Kolo Muani is well worth a possible transfer fee of €100m’.
