Chelsea have been accused of “deliberate bullying” over Hakim Ziyech’s failed deadline day move to Paris Saint Germain.

The Moroccan was heavily linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge throughout last month after struggling to establish himself under Graham Potter.

He appeared set for a deadline day loan move to PSG, even travelling to Paris to finalise the deal and make the switch.

It never ended up happening, though, with Chelsea focused on getting a deal for Enzo Fernandez over the line and failing to get the paperwork done in time.

It was later reported that they had sent the wrong documentation as many as three times, as well as sending it unsigned and various other problems leading to the delays and then eventual collapse.

PSG appealed to the Ligue de Football Professional but that was rejected, leaving Ziyech to return to Chelsea until the summer at least, when he is likely to push for a departure once again.

The situation has been heavily criticised since, with Chelsea labelled a circus for their failure to act in a professional manner.

That is certainly an opinion shared by Ruud Gullit and journalist Jan van Halst, who have both criticised them to Ziggo Sport Café.

“I’d like to see a camera on his return to the Chelsea training complex,” Soccer News report Van Halst saying.

“What will he say? What do you think? This is deliberate bullying. Potter has said they will just put him back in. Well, forget it.

“This is not a mistake, eh. It can’t be. If you get so many players and you do this two, three times… It can be bullying,” added Gullit.

“Ziyech could also have been annoying. You don’t know. He will have to fight for his place again. In the end, it’s terrible for him.

“He should have left there a long time ago. The question is whether he would have played at Paris Saint-Germain. Then you end up in the same situation.”
