Harry Toffolo’s proposed move from Nottingham Forest to Anderlecht could be off after an injury to Renan Lodi forced Forest to change their mind.
That’s according to Het Laatste Niuews and Le Soir, who say the deal had been on the verge of being completed before ‘something unexpected happened’.
HLN report that Toffolo seemed to be on his way to the Belgian side, even travelling to Anderlecht for medicals and completing them ahead of the switch.
However, there is still no agreement in place between Anderlecht and Nottingham Forest and that is because of an injury to Lodi.
The extent of the Brazilian’s problem is not yet known but it has caused Forest to delay in letting Toffolo go as it could leave them short in the position for the remainder of the season.
If Lodi’s injury proves to be a long-term one, then Nottingham Forest would not be willing to sanction Toffolo’s move to Anderlecht.
According to Le Soir they are very much ‘concerned’ that Lodi could be out for an extended time and don’t want to find an emergency replacement despite Toffolo ‘pushing’ for the move to Belgium.
