With João Cancelo making a surprise transfer from Manchester City to Bayern Munich in the middle of the season, this process continues to move very quickly.
The latest updates from the German media, brought by Sky journalist Torben Hoffman, now show the player about to have his medicals with the Bundesliga giants.
Cancelo was spotted at the Barmherzigen Brüder hospital, and should soon have clearance to conclude his exit from Manchester City.
As reported by the German media earlier today, the fullback is set to join Bayern Munich on a loan move until the end of the season.
It’s not yet clear whether the German side have any plans to keep him on a permanent transfer, but they are said to have a rather expensive option to buy him if they so wish.
The player spent the club’s last three matches on the bench, despite having been a regular starter in the first part of the season.
With Bayern about to announce his arrival, it remains to be seen whether the Portugal international will ever have a new chance at the Premier League side.
