PSV Eindhoven will sell Noni Madueke to Chelsea this month if the Blues raise their offer for the forward.
That’s according to journalist Marco Timmer, who insists the Dutch side will not continue to block a move to Stamford Bridge if the price is right.
Chelsea are busy spending this month to improve Graham Potter’s squad, with Mykhaylo Mudryk, Benoit Badiashile, Andrey Santos, David Fofana and Joao Felix already arriving.
They have also been linked with a move for Madueke, with a report yesterday stating that a €30m offer has already been rejected.
Whether Chelsea would make a higher offer is unknown but Timmer says if they do, PSV will be more than happy to sell Madueke to them.
“If Chelsea add some money, PSV will proceed to sell. (It depends) how deep the pockets of the new owner are,” he told Voetbal International regarding the Blues interest.
The ball, then, is very much in Chelsea’s side of the court.
Whether they have the money to up their bid is up for debate given the figures they’ve already spent this month.
Todd Boehly has certainly shown a willingness to spend freely, and it seem PSV are now hoping he will do so again to get Madueke.
