Bournemouth and Leicester are in ‘pole position’ for Atalanta forward Jeremie Boga, who is likely to leave in January.
That’s according to L’Eco di Bergamo, relayed by Calcio Atalanta, who say the Premier League duo are pushing for the Ivorian’s signature.
They report that the ‘outspoken’ player will be leaving the Italian side in the January transfer window and the ‘doors of the Premier League’ are open for him.
Four clubs are currently pushing to get a deal over the line, but it is Bournemouth and Leicester who are in pole position at this moment in time.
Atalanta are happy to get a deal done as the forward is not part of their plans, something which has been demonstrated in their recent spate of friendlies when he remained on the bench against Sevilla, managed four minutes against AZ Alkmaar and didn’t participate against Crema.
The indications that a transfer is on the cards are all there and there had been talk of a potential loan move to Fiorentina.
However, it is Bournemouth and Leicester who are leading the race although there is no mention of whether it would be a permanent deal or a loan.
Either way, Marseille are in the background and Boga looks likely to end up in the Premier League before the end of January.
