Claim Chelsea want to include player in transfer deal – Trying to ‘reduce the bill’ a bit

Over the past few days, as well as Enzo Fernández, Chelsea are trying to wrap up the signing of Benoit Badiashile.

Reports from France have suggested the defender is well on his way to Stamford Bridge, with everything reportedly going to plan.

That suggested a move was right around the corner, but Media Foot in France are suggesting a late change of plan by Chelsea has taken place.

Seemingly conscious a lot of spending will take place in January from their end, and with Malang Sarr already on loan at AS Monaco, Todd Boehly and co. have tried to insert the centre-back in the deal.

They are doing this to ‘try and reduce the bill’, and with the defender ‘no longer fitting in the plans’ over in London, he is ‘on his way out’ of the Premier League side.

Whether or not this interests Monaco, who haven’t exactly heavily relied on him since signing him in August, remains to be seen.

We doubt any refusal from the principality side will stop Chelsea from signing Badiashile either way, but it’s certainly worth a try.

Sarr has made just nine appearances since arriving, totalling 501 minutes of football, and is on a loan with an obligation to buy if certain conditions are met.
