Manchester United defender Alex Telles will avoid surgery after limping out of the World Cup with Brazil and is expected back in action at Sevilla in February.
That’s according to Relevo, relayed by Mucho Deporte, who say the full-back ‘avoids surgery’ and will instead go without going under the knife.
They explain that the full-back’s injury had ‘worried’ Sevilla as the medical report labelled it as a “grade II-III partial tear of the internal lateral ligament, plus partial involvement of the posterior cruciate ligament of the right knee”.
He will not undergo surgery on the problem and as a result could be available for Spanish side in mid-February.
That decision has been made after a join assessment by the medical team at Sevilla and Brazil, who opted for a conservative treatment rather than anything invasive which would rule him out for the season.
Thus, it seems the Brazilian will remain in Spain until the end of the season, rather than going through surgery and returning to Manchester United prematurely.
